Plagiarism Policy
Jurnal Teknoif Teknik Informatika Institut Teknologi Padang does not tolerate plagiarism, including the unacknowledged use of another person's words, ideas, data, images, or other intellectual contributions. The acceptable limit for the similarity level of a submitted article is 20%.
All submissions may be screened for similarity using appropriate plagiarism detection tools. Similarity scores are considered alongside the manuscript's content and context; a similarity score alone does not establish whether plagiarism has occurred. Authors must cite all sources appropriately, use quotation marks where required, and obtain permission for copyrighted material when necessary.
The journal also considers self-plagiarism, redundant publication, substantial overlap with previously published work, and inappropriate reuse of text or figures.
When potential plagiarism is identified, the editorial team will assess the evidence and may request an explanation from the authors. Depending on the findings and the stage of publication, actions may include revision, rejection, investigation, correction, or retraction.
Authors are responsible for ensuring that their submissions are original and appropriately attributed.
