Abstrak

The final goal to be achieved: A microcontroller-based object detection glasses that can be used by the visually impaired, as a tool to detect objects in front of them when walking. This research uses the action research method (Action Research) is an effort to try out ideas into practice to improve or change something in order to have a real impact. Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that: (1) In this study, we produce a tool for the visually impaired with an ultrasonic sensor in the form of glasses that use Arduino Pro Mini as a microcontroller and have the ability to detect an object in front of it to make it easier for blind people to walk. (2) These sensory glasses are able to provide a sound warning to the user when they find an object in front of them at a distance of less than 100 cm.
